Mountain View School District schools at Mountain View, Rural Special, and Timbo participate in the Arkansas School Choice Program.
The Arkansas Public School Choice Act of 2013 established a public school choice program to enable any student to attend a school in a district in which the student does not reside, subject to certain restrictions.
Before a student may attend a school in a nonresident district, the student’s parent or guardian must submit an application on a form approved by the Department of Education to the Superintendent of the nonresident district. The parent or guardian must also send a copy of the completed application to the resident district. Application forms may be obtained at the Superintendent’s office. This application must be postmarked not later than May 1 of the year in which the student would begin the fall semester at the nonresident district. Applications may be made for any student grades K-12.
If you have questions or would like further information, please call the Superintendent’s office at (870) 269-3443.
