All schools in the Mountain View School District will be closed tomorrow Friday February 21 due to the winter weather and remaining dangerous road conditions throughout the county. The District tournament basketball games for Mountain View Senior High at Melbourne are still on for tomorrow. The 1A district basketball tournament hosted by Rural Special has been postponed by at least a day. More info will be coming on that when it is available. MVSD will be back in session Monday and we will push out updated information on our plan to make up the days we have missed as soon as those decisions are made.
The MVMS 7th and 8th grade dance that was scheduled for tomorrow night (Feb 21) will be moved to later date.

All schools in the Mountain View School District will be using snow routes for afternoon bus riders today due to flash flooding and dangerous road conditions in the area. Mountain View School District has filed an intent to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. If approved the district will be applying to serve the students of the MVSD community with a Summer Enrichment and After School Enrichment Program for grades K -8. Community input is welcomed. Reminder: All MVSD schools will dismiss at noon tomorrow Wednesday January 29 for a half day of teacher professional development. Afternoon bus routes will run 3 hours and 20 minutes earlier than they do on a regular day.
