The Mountain View High School 9th Grade did their first of many Community Service Projects. This past Friday the Yellow Jackets served by planting bulbs across the county! They worked amazingly hard. Thank you School Ave. church of Christ for serving them lunch!

Mountain View School Pantry will have a food box distribution today, October 17th, at the Mountain View Elementary Library. Boxes will be distributed to qualifying families of MVSD students starting at 3:30, during Parent-Teacher Conferences, until all boxes have been handed out.

The Mountain View School District will host Parent-Teacher Conferences across the district on Tuesday, October 17. Conferences will be held from 3:30 to 7:30 at each campus. School will dismiss at 2:50 P.M. on the 17th.

The School Breakfast Program (SBP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and non-profit private schools and residential child care institutions. The SBP started in 1966 as a pilot project, and was made a permanent entitlement program by Congress in 1975. Participation in the SBP has slowly but steadily grown over the years: 1970: 0.5 million children; 1980: 3.6 million children; 1990: 4.0 million children; 2000: 7.5 million children; 2010: 11.67 million children; and 2016: 14.57 million children.

Please note that the times for beginning and ending each school day have changed from years past. This year the school day will begin each day at 7:50 and will end at 3:20. For bus riders, please expect buses to be approximately 10 minutes earlier in the mornings and 20 minutes later in the afternoons this year. Car riders should adjust their times accordingly as well.
