The Mountain View School District would like to extend a big thank you to every person and business that participated in our recent supply drive by donating time, items, and/or money toward filling the Preparedness Bags with personal hygiene supplies.
These bags are to help students in case of unexpected needs and have been distributed to all three campuses in the Mountain View School District.
Sending a shout out to Liz Larson for making the cute bags to hold the items, Stone Bank for accepting to be the donation drop off point, Stone County Community Centered for facilitating the drop off point, preparing the bags, as well as buying supplies, and to the former Save the Children Community Impact Lead, Chelsea Jones, for coming up with the idea to help with children’s individual needs and for handing out the items.
Thanks again for all your help. We live in a wonderful county who always supports our students!
The Mountain View School District will release at noon on Wednesday, November 6 for a teacher in service. Lunch will be served before dismissal, and buses will run routes beginning about 12:10. Again, the Mountain View School District will release at noon on Wednesday, the 6th of November. The Mountain View Pre-K will continue as scheduled that day. Thank You.
The Mountain View School District will host our first Parent Teacher Conference of the year on Tuesday, October 15 from 3-7 p.m. School will dismiss at 2:20 on October 15.
Additionally, Fall Break will follow beginning on October 16 and running through the 20th. Regular classes will resume on Monday, October 21.
Pre K at Mountain View and Timbo will be in session on Monday October 7th
A reminder from the Mountain View School District, there will be no school on Monday , October 7 due to teacher in-service. Again, no school on Monday.
Regular classes will resume on Tuesday, October 8.
Heather, our new Community Impact Lead with Save the Children, has been placing new books in our little free libraries around the county! Go take a look at the new free books! Libraries are located at the Mountain View Court Square, all three school campuses, Big Flat and Pleasant Grove Community Centers.

MVSD and local law enforcement have been made aware of a social media post that is being shared. The post reads as a potential threat to a list of schools. The schools listed are all schools from another state. MVSD and the local law enforcement will continue to monitor the situation, but at this time there is not a credible threat in our area. The safety of our students at MVSD is our top priority.
MVSD Reminder: On Wednesday, September 11 school will be dismissed at noon.
The Mountain View High School golf match scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, at Melbourne has been canceled.
